The Maruti Suzuki Swift has long been celebrated for its eager chassis dynamics, quick turn-in, and light kerb weight (~920 kg). On the ZXi and ZXi+ variants, the stock 185/65 R15 size delivers a commendable compromise between fuel economy and cornering bite. However, spirited drivers frequently upgrade to 195/60 R15 or Yokohama Earth-1 rubber: the Earth-1 compound features stiffer sidewalls specifically engineered to resist cut-throughs on potholed Indian tarmac while eliminating the light mid-corner squirm noticeable on the factory tyres. Base LXi and VXi models rolling on skinny 165/80 R14 rubber offer excellent vertical ride compliance thanks to massive 132mm sidewalls, but tend to screech under aggressive highway braking.
