The standards governing how vehicle tyre data is researched, independently audited, cited, and maintained on TyreSize.in.

1. The Non-Negotiable Standard

TyreSize.in strictly forbids automated content scrapers, thin templated summaries, or synthetic filler text. Every model specification published on our platform must be manually verified by a qualified automotive researcher against official manufacturer documents.

If a model lacks verified documentation or if trim-level tyre variations remain ambiguous, our policy is absolute: the page remains unpublished (`published: false`) until verified data is secured. We believe a missing page costs nothing, while an incorrect tyre specification risks consumer safety and vehicle damage.

2. Sourcing Hierarchy

Our researchers are instructed to gather technical specifications following this strict hierarchy:

  • Primary Tier: Official manufacturer service manuals, owner's handbooks, vehicle door jamb certification plates, and ARAI homologation certificates.
  • Secondary Tier: Technical product specification guides published by certified Indian tyre manufacturers (Apollo Tyres, CEAT, MRF, Bridgestone India, Goodyear India, JK Tyre).
  • Prohibited Sources: Unverified automotive blogs, general forum hearsay, overseas vehicle databases with conflicting market trims, and un-sourced Wikipedia entries are strictly banned as primary sources for numerical values.

3. Writing Standards for Technical Insights

Every published vehicle page features an “Editor's Technical Insight” of 150 to 250 words. To pass our editorial review:

  • It must be 100% unique to that exact vehicle and chassis setup.
  • It must address real-world Indian road dynamics (pothole absorption, rim pinch vulnerability, highway cruising noise, wet monsoon braking).
  • It must pass our internal “Cross-Vehicle Test”: if any sentence from the insight could be copy-pasted into another vehicle's page without losing factual precision, that sentence must be rewritten or removed.

4. Correction & Audit Protocol

Automotive manufacturers periodically update wheel designs and tyre fitments during mid-cycle facelifts. When a verified correction is identified:

  • The relevant specification is updated within 48 hours.
  • The `lastVerified` date tag is updated to reflect the audit date.
  • The specific manufacturer citation is documented directly below the spec table.
